The upscale corporate building Rio Branco 12 - or simply RB12 - is the first project by Nattekko, French leader in sustainable construction in Brazil. Currently in retrofit process, the building was handed over exclusively to Cushman & Wakefield to be marketed. "Combining modernity, sophistication and sustainability, RB12 should become a landmark in the city," says Frederico Garcia, Director of Capital Markets in C&W.
The development is in the Porto Maravilha region, in Rio de Janeiro, an area of over 5 million m2 being revitalized. Its location is privileged: a few minutes from Santos Dumont airport and only 20 km from Galeão Airport.
The RB12 has 21 floors and about 3,200 m2 of gross leasable area (GLA). It is one of the first office buildings in Brazil with the concept of "positive energy" – that produces energy via alternative technologies - as well as other sustainable practices such as natural lighting, grey water harvesting system and internal temperature control by chilled beams and natural ventilation.
